The 2024 Mark Hagopian Memorial is set as a 3-DAY extraviganza!! Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 26th, 27th, and 28th at Plaza Park Raceway powered by Keller Auto Center! Following our largest event ever in 2023 we are thrilled to put on another a BIG one in 2024! The 1/5th mile semi banked dirt oval, located in the heart of Visalia, California’s Plaza Park, is always one to provide the best micro sprint racing in the country!
A minimum $10,000 is on the line Saturday evening for the premier division of the Winged Outlaw 600’s! They will go 50 laps for the coveted perpetual trophy named “The MacGyver”. “MacGyver” being the nickname of none other than the center of the event, the late Mark Hagopian. 2017’s inaugural event saw event promoter, Jake Hagopian claim the emotional victory in his father’s memory. While the second edition was claimed by Jake Andreotti after super stars Frank Flud and Michael Faccinto came short of completing the task of the enduring 50 lap event! The 3rd edition of the MHM in 2019, saw Jake Hagopian go back to victory lane for the second time in his father’s honor! We lost of a year to COVID, but in 2021 Mitchel Moles rebound from his 2019 misfortunes and claimed the MacGyver for Raisin City, CA! 2022 saw Central California phenom Corey Day sweep the weekend and collect the $8,000 prize and and his name to the histroy books as our 4th Champion in 5 races! In 2023, KJ Snow stunned and took home $8,000 in a thrilling finale!
The 7th running of the MHM is sure to bring even more action to the Plaza Park Raceway! On top of the on-track entertainment, the MHM staff brings the crowd to life with tons of interaction! Thanks to former World of Outlaw Champion, Jason Meyers and the rest of the Plaza Park Raceway and MHM crew, they keep flow of the evening busy and fun with tons of giveaways, candid interviews, and much, much more! Classes of Junior Sprints, Restricted 600s, Non-Wing 600s, and the Winged Outlaw 600s will provide fierce competition top to bottom!
